Terms of Service

By using StoryFluent (the "App") and this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. The service

StoryFluent is a reading app for language learning. As you read, it replaces selected words in the text with their translation in a language you are learning. You can read books from our catalog or import your own book files.

2. Books you import

The App can import book files you already have (for example EPUB or PDF).

  • You must have the right to use what you import. By importing a file, you represent that you own a lawful copy and may use it for personal reading.
  • Personal use only. Imported files, and any word-substituted version the App produces, are for your own personal, non-commercial study. You may not share, redistribute, or sell them.
  • On-device processing. Word substitution on imported files happens on your device. We do not upload, host, or store the content of the books you import.
  • No piracy. Do not use the App with unlawfully obtained files. You are responsible for the files you import.

3. Our catalog

Books offered in the App are provided by us or our content partners. Buying or claiming a catalog book gives you a personal, non-transferable right to read it — not ownership of the underlying work.

4. Purchases & free books

Prices are shown in the App. Purchases, free-book claims, and any subscription are handled through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms and refund policies.

5. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer or bypass the App's technical limits, use it to infringe anyone's rights, or resell its content.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The App is provided "as is." Translations and word substitutions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate — the App is a learning aid, not a professional translation service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit our liability, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

7. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; continued use after a change means you accept it. Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

StoryFluent is operated by Side Hustle Holdings Ltd. in British Columbia, Canada.
